Should I tan before my session?
When it comes to preparing for your boudoir shoot, we know you might have a lot of questions - and one that comes up frequently is whether or not to tan beforehand. But let us be clear: the answer is a definite NO!
Why, you might ask? Well, first and foremost, our studio is equipped with top-of-the-line lighting that will make your natural skin tone look absolutely stunning. A fake tan, on the other hand, can often give your skin an unnatural orange tint that simply won't look good in your photos. Even the most high-quality spray tans or lotions can cause unexpected skin tones under the camera's lens. And that is if your tan is even. SO many times we see clients come in with harsh lines under their booty cheeks, around their armpits and in places they couldn’t reach. Or, they have splotches from dry skin or the tan washing away unevenly.
Trust us, nobody wants to look like this.
But it's not just a matter of aesthetics - we've also had issues in the past with clients staining our furniture and lingerie in the Client Wardrobe with their spray tans. These stains can be impossible to remove, which means we have to spend time and money replacing items that should be available for everyone to use. We simply can't risk it.
Now, we understand that you might be nervous about looking too pale in your photos, especially when we live in Columbus Ohio. But trust us, we have plenty of techniques to give you a natural glow that will look absolutely stunning. We would much rather enhance your natural beauty than have to reschedule your session because your skin tone is off. So please, skip the fake tan and let us help you shine just the way you are. Trust us - you'll look incredible.
