Miss R in the Floating Florals
I had the pleasure of working with Miss R for a second time recently, and it was so fun! Not only did we get to catch up and chat during hair and makeup, but we were able to create a completely different vibe for this session than her last one. Check out what she had to say about the second boudoir experience, and see some of her favorite images below!!
What motivated you to do a session?
I wanted some updated photos done. I did my last ones with her in 2019 before getting married and having my daughter. So I felt like celebrating all my accomplishments after that time and to boost my post-mom body
Are these photos for you, or a gift for someone?
Mostly for me but also a gift to my husband that he highly appreciates!
Before your session, what were you most nervous about?
Mostly finding the new studio. She was in downtown Columbus when I seen her last. I also just take a bit to warm up to the camera.
What was your favorite part of the experience?
Getting ready. Getting to sit in the chair while I have my hair and makeup done and drink a mimosa and chat with everyone.
Where did you shop for your outfits?
This time out of her closet there in the studio
After the shoot how did you feel?
So much more empowered and confident. I’m prone to be very self critical and this helped me be more gentle with myself and also build up my confidence.
What was your initial reaction to your images?
I absolutely loved them! They all turned out so well! Exactly what I was picturing in my head of what I wanted!
Did anything change about how you see yourself?
Embracing the mom bod and all the changes that have came since I seen her last.
Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself?
It’s all going to workout. Just take a deep breath and strut your stuff!
Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot?
Bring outfit options and having a vision or general theme that you want before going in. This time I wanted more of a softer, feminine style compared to the glam and romantic style I did last time.
