Insiders Look to a Boudoir Session with 614 Boudoir | Ohio's Top Boudoir Photographer
It can be hard to anticipate what happens during a boudoir shoot if you’ve never been to one. I love it when I get to share #BTS on instagram or facebook, and followers seem to love it too! So today I’m going to show and tell the normal flow of the session from beginning to end.
8:45AM Myself and the stylist arrive to prep for you! I always have coffee in hand and a smile on my face. I put fresh sheets on the bed for you, start some music, and light a candle
9AM You arrive. YAY! I welcome you in, and ask to see the outfits, shoes, and accessories you have brought with you. Together we chat through your favorites and in which order we will shoot each outfit. Then, I’ll offer you a glass of crisp bubbly champagne and you start hair and makeup. During hair and makeup you can sip on your mimosa, I will drink my coffee and we have girl talk, laugh, and get to know each other.
10:30AM Hair and Makeup usually take about half an hour so around 10:30 you will get into your first outfit. Typically the most modest option so you can warm up and get comfortable in front of the camera.
Once you’re in your first outfit, I will talk through how the session will go, and give you some tips and tricks to remember. Then we’ll begin shooting. Don’t worry, I pose you from your head to your toes including your facial expression and what to do with your hands. I will show you the poses, I will fix your tags, your outfit, your hair, and I will get ALLL the angles.
In your second and third outfits we’ll move to a different part of the studio for variety. After we’re done shooting you will take a short break.
11:45- You can get dressed and either head out for some lunch or go grab some coffee. I need about 30 minutes to load your photos and pick out all the best ones!
12:15 You can come back in and we get to watch your photos come across the big screen together! At this time you’ll choose the images you love, you’ll get to touch and feel the album samples, look at the wall art and decide what is right for you.
1PM Typically we are done by 1pm, and you get to spend the rest of your day looking amazing, walking a little taller and feeling fierce. If you want to make the most of your hair, makeup, and confidence, I suggest planning a girls night out so you can gush about the experience to someone without letting the secret slip to a significant other. If keeping a secret isn’t a concern, date night is always a great idea too!
About 3 weeks later, you will come back to the studio to pick up your perfectly packaged items and treasure them forever!!
