Just a few weeks ago I had an ahhhh-mazing woman in my studio for her 614 Boudoir Experience and just like my clients, when they have a incredible photo shoot, I want to shout it from the rooftops, so of course I asked her to let me interview her, and she said YES. This session was for her husband for her first anniversary, which is a great gift for husbands, especially when the first anniversary is ‘paper’ I’ll let her tell you about her experience in the questions below and then I’ll show off her sexalicious photos.

What motivated you to do a session?

I decided to do a session for my husband for our first anniversary (since the first anniversary gift is “paper.”) I had thought about doing it before the wedding, but ended up not doing it to save money. Now I’m glad I waited, as I like this better. 

Are these photos for you, or a gift for someone?

They were a gift for my husband. 

Before your session, what were you most nervous about?

I am overall a pretty modest dresser, so I was nervous about showing my body to people. Also, I don’t like how my stomach or chin photograph something, and I was worried about feeling fat. 

What was your favorite part of the experience?

Honestly, the whole experience was great. Hair and makeup was so much fun, with a little bit of champagne and girl talk. Then Kristin made me feel absolutely incredible during every part of the photography. She got the pictures back to me so quick, and they look incredible!

Where did you shop for your outfits?

I owned the Jersey prior to this. I got the long socks and black bodysuit from Yandy. The burgundy bodysuit and bra and black robe were from La Senza. And she shoes were from Macy’s (burgundy) and Amazon (black). 

After the shoot how did you feel?

I felt so amazing after the shoot! I am not a person that naturally (or ever) feels sexy or even very attractive on most days (not that I feel ugly, I just don’t put a lot of extra effort into my appearance). Kristin stroked my ego the whole shoot and made me feel so beautiful, and sexy, and honestly just awesome. 

What was your initial reaction to your images?

I was so happy! I immediately told her how obsessed I was!

Did anything change about how you see yourself?

Like I said earlier, I feel so sexy looking at those pictures. I hope to continue to feel that way and see myself as my husband sees me. 

Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself?

What I kept telling myself was this was a gift for my husband, and he tells me I’m sexy and beautiful all the time. If he can see me as being sexy and beautiful, then I know I can, too. And this shoot definitely helped me get there. 

Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot?

If you’re considering it, DO IT! I have been telling everyone that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Kristin is an incredible photographer and an amazing human. I don’t know how, but she managed to make me feel confident and sexy about some of the most insecure and private areas of my body. I also loved that I am a size 10-12, and she made me look incredible! This is not a one size thing, my body is far from perfect and I am not a tiny person, but she managed to make me look incredible, and for that I am so thankful.
