Choosing the right panties | Sexy Pictures Columbus

Hi Ladies- I wanted to talk a little bit about the different cuts of undies you might find in your local lingerie store. Honestly before I became a boudoir photographer, I didn't really know that each cut served a purpose, I just chose what looked appealing and I had a drawer full of underwear that weren't really serving me. OK so let's just dive right in.

The G-string

This is strictly for wearing under something where you are likely to have VPL. This does NOTHING for your shape, and unfortunately even if they are slightly too small, they'll pinch on your sides and cause a muffin top you wouldn't otherwise have. The only reason to wear a g string, rather than going commando is to make you a little more comfortable, and have a little coverage in the front keeping you from having camel toe.

Thongs

So a thong gives more coverage than the skimpy related g string, they come in varieties like cotton, lace, satin, and many companies are making them undetectable under your clothes. They are usually very forgiving if you're a little bloated, and pretty comfortable. They aren't super helpful for creating booty shape, or tucking anything in, but they are fun, sexy and can boost your confidence.

Cheekies and Brazillian cuts

These are definitely my favorite cuts for a lingerie photo shoot, for one, they often cover just enough to make most women comfortable without being a full on granny panty. The "leg holes" as I'll call them, are typically cut in just enough to make that real round booty appearance. You can also get these in a low rise, mid or hi rise, to cover any tummy trouble you might have, c section scars, loose skin etc. You also have full coverage in the front. If you get the satin, lace, or something sexy, these can also boost your flirty feelings knowing what is under your dress ;)

Full butt undies

I know I'm getting real official here with my lingo, but you get the point. These are your cotton, Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, granny, period panties. They ain't cute girl. Seriously, reserve these for your time of the month, and really only wear them on your heavy days... to work. Even if Flo is visiting, if you have a dinner date with your boo, you can feel sexy by wearing...ANYTHING else. Don't bring these to your boudoir session, under any circumstance. If you do, I'll put them right back into your bag.

OK so I know there are many hybrids between all of those, like the high waisted thong, the boyshort etc. but I just wanted to cover {pun intended ;)} the basics for everyday wear and for consideration before bringing these items to a sexy shoot with me.
