One of the first questions an interested client asks me is, "What is a boudoir session like?"

There can often be a misconception about boudoir and every photographer's style is different, so it is a really good question to ask. I will walk you through the process from start to finish here on the blog, but also throughout the actual process of scheduling, wardrobe, shooting, purchasing products and even receiving them.

Boudoir Session Prep Do + Don't

The number one question I get asked is "How do I prepare for my session?" or "What do I do?"

I always want my girls to be prepared and so I offer consultation, a lingerie guide and a packing list to help ease some stress. But today I wanted to kind of delve a little deeper in the to-do or to-not-do.

Fall Model Call

Hi Beautiful! Have you ever considered being a 614 Boudoir Bombshell? Well now is your chance. I am currently running a model call, where women have a chance to be a model for the day, even without prior experience. In fact I prefer you have zero experience. I only offer these model calls 2-3 times a year and I can only take a few girls each time, but for those who model, it is a rewarding experience.

my personal story inspired my brand

Growing up, I had really awesome self esteem. I was the chubby kid too which you would think would have held me back, but I was active [I danced until 12, marched in the band in high school] I took a foreign language, and I liked school. I had a lot of versatile friends that kept me cultured. I was smart and happy. My mom always called me a social butterfly. And then something happened.

Bekka Sweet & Sultry Columbus Boudoir

Bekka and I met in the summer of 2015 to discuss her possibly scheduling a boudoir session, but the timing just wasn't right for her and that was okay. But now...I think MAN! So glad she waited! Miss Hannah is a long time friend of my fabulous make-up artist Emma, and is no stranger to art, including nude photography, so I knew we would get along great while planning her boudoir session. I wanted to kind of push the boundaries with her, and she definitely let me.

Amanda has such an incredible spirit that carried into her boudoir session with ease. As a dancer, she showed grace and emotion to the lens. The idea behind this session was to be sensual, artistic, and subtly sexy. I think we achieved that.
