Client Interview - Miss S | Columbus Ohio's best boudoir photographer

Miss S came in for her boudoir session with me a little nervous, but oh my goodness, the way she blossomed during the session was incredible. By the time she left I felt like we were good friends! We could have talked ALL DAY. Read below to see what she had to say about her experience with 614 Boudoir Photography

  1. What motivated you to do a session?

Ultimately there were 3 reasons. First, I went thru a breakup that really messed with my self confidence.  I needed to get it back so I could feel better about me. Second, it was sort of a bucket list thing for me. And third, and maybe most important, I was not in the best shape of life, weighed more than I ever have.  I told myself if I could love all of me at this place, I could always love me!

  2. Are these photos for you, or a gift for someone?

For me - when I booked the session I was single.  Full disclosure, I was dating someone by the time I had my session but it was still all about me.

  3. Before your session, what were you most nervous about?

Looking ridiculous!  I am not in my 20's, 30's or even 40's!  And shopping for outfits - very out of my comfort zone!

  4. What was your favorite part of the experience?

I loved getting ready for the shoot.  I made the full investment in myself - hair cut and color, manicure, pedicure, waxing, body exfoliation so I felt good about myself when I walked into Kristin's studio of magic.  Having my makeup and hair done by a professional completed my transformation for the day. I don't take selfies and when I left the studio after the shoot, I took a selfie to share because I felt so good about me!

  5. Where did you shop for your outfits?

    Victoria's Secret and Amazon

  6. After the shoot how did you feel?

Tired!  But invigorated and energized. Maybe I did walk a little taller when I left the studio that day.

  7. What was your initial reaction to your images?

This was tough for me.  There were 2 things that challenged me.  First it was shocking how much I looked like my mom so I had to overcome that hurdle.  The 2nd challenge for me was I wanted to pick apart every detail / flaw on my body.  When I stopped analyzing each image, I began to appreciate what Kristin captured and could start to see the beauty of a woman's body.

  8. Did anything change about how you see yourself?

Yes! Without a doubt! And it is all for the better!

  9. Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself?

You've got this!  And look at Kristin's work - she's got you.  I wish I would have used Kristin as more of a resource when shopping - to ask questions, etc.

  10. Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot?

Just look at Kristin's beautiful gallery.  Now see yourself there!
