Miss K Boudoir Session Interview | Columbus Ohio Boudoir Photography

Miss K booked her session nearly a year in advance, and when I tell you she came prepared, I mean it. Every detail was perfect and I loved her outfit choices, jewelry, shoes, just everything!! Read what she thought of her Columbus boudoir photography session below, and then see some of her faves too!

What motivated you to do a session? Following the VIP group and being straight up envious. I’d been married for a couple years and being officially off the market made me want to feel some good old fashioned sex appeal again.

Are these photos for you, or a gift for someone? Primarily for me. Eventually I’ll share with my husband.

Before your session, what were you most nervous about? Looking terrible in the lens. My facial expressions being off (I’m awkward haha). Despite countless women saying how shocked at how good they looked, I’d see their beauty and look down and still not see it in mine.

What was your favorite part of the experience? Besides the champagne?! The reveal was very intimate and really was the missing piece. My wedding album was created in a similar way and I think boudoir where all the images just get emailed to you would be a mistake. Thankfully, this is the necessary piece that Kristin provides and sets her apart from so many other wannabes haha. Not every picture can be our best, and Kristin never made me feel rushed, pressured, or judged while sorting through the pictures for my album.

Where did you shop for your outfits? Torrid, Amazon, VS, CoEdition. Torrid had the best fit for me compared to the others because they are simply more consistent.

After the shoot how did you feel? Aside from the sheer exhaustion and soreness, I saw pictures of myself that really made me remember who I am.

What was your initial reaction to your images? Honestly, I started to tear up because my calves were so huge and ugly. I was thinking what a waste of money and time and why did I think that I could be like “one of those girls” so beautiful in the VIP group. But then I trashed those images and still had 30 extra that I liked, that I had to trim for my 40-image limit album. I had more that I liked than I disliked. And realized that even celebrities look bad from certain angles - and while Kristin is great at finding the good ones, it can’t hide my insecurity about my calves that I didn’t realize I had. The rest of my images? I felt I was “one of those girls.”

Did anything change about how you see yourself? I definitely feel more beautiful and worthy of the love and admiration that I have been denying myself for too long.

Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself? Kristin was so great, I didn’t feel nerves after being there for 10 minutes. I felt at ease to be myself.

Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot? Book it and start shopping for your lingerie!
