"I gained an extra level of confidence and an appreciation for myself" | Best Boudoir Photographer Ohio

Tell me about why you booked your session, things you worried about, and what your favorite part of the experience was…

I knew my boyfriend was getting me something special for Christmas so I wanted to get something for him that would be just as special. I was probably mostly nervous about the general experience of being exposed to someone I had not met before. While I am not ashamed of my appearance, I wouldn’t say I’m 100% confident either. My favorite part of my experience was learning the hair and makeup. I only occasionally do my makeup and when I do it’s pretty minimal. I was intrigue by natural, flawless look created. After the shoot I was really excited to see how the pictures turned out.

What was your initial reaction to your images?

I was initially shocked when I first saw my images; they turned out to be gorgeous. It was so hard for me to let many of the photos go that I just ended up upgraded the album book so I could have more photos.

Did anything change about how you see yourself?

Generally I’m a simple person who wears minimal makeup. After the session I ended I think I gained an extra level of confidence and an appreciation for myself.

Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself?

I would go back and tell myself to trust the camera and the photographer and to relax. I think the part of the session where I relaxed really showed in the photos and they look much better than the photos where I was a little nervous.

Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot?

My advice would be to relax and be communicative. If you don’t want to do a certain pose or don’t feel comfortable, then let the photographer know. Kristin did a great job and would ask me throughout the session if I was comfortable. I would also recommend having the temperature turned up a little. Kristin turned up the temperature at the start of the shoot and it really helped me relax.
