"Right now, you are enough" | Client Interview: Miss L

Miss L is a summer 2018 Bride, and she did her bridal boudoir session as a gift for her groom-to-be. She doesn't need much introduction so here you go...

What motivated you to do a session?

I was getting married and I wanted to do something for my fiancé that I knew he wouldn’t expect. I am not someone you would expect to do something like this so that’s why I was so drawn to it! I also felt comfortable with doing it because of how private and safe I felt in the group on Facebook every image you posted all these women were so motivating, kind and encouraging I felt like if others can do it, so can I!! I knew my fiancé would LOVE these images and now I can’t get over how much I love them too.

Before your session, what were you most nervous about?

I was most nervous about the poses. I personally had never owned any lingerie before this shoot so I has no clue how to pose, how to sit, do I smile, do I not, I had a million questions. You walked me though everything, how to pose, to relax my mouth, everything I was worried about you took care of!

Where did you shop for your outfits?

I went to the lions den and bought one item from Pure Romance

What was your favorite part of the experience?

I loved the hair and make-up part (who wouldn’t it), and the shoot itself was a ton of fun, but my favorite part was coming back to see the images. You leave the studio on such a high! You had fun, you feel good (and look good) and it was such a huge relief to see that I looked as good as I felt. You leave that day feeling even better and that stays with you for a long time!

Are these photos for you, or a gift for someone?

They are for my fiancé the night before our wedding

What was your initial reaction to your images?

I was genuinely surprised at how good I felt I looked in each one. Every image you showed me I felt I looked amazing in. I had to pick which smile I liked better or which pose I liked more. There were no images shown to me that I wanted to say “eww, delete it!!” every single one was posed amazingly, my make-up on point and my hair looked perfect!!

Did anything change about how you see yourself?

Before this I always thought well I’m a bit chunky, or this shirt maybe a bit too tight to wear out I don’t want people to stare. I felt attractive and good looking in front of my fiancé but it was harder to feel that way around others. After my shoot, I got to see how damn good I really did look! Yeah, my shirt hugs my curves, my curves that look amazing, so heck yes I am showing them off. Now if I feel someone take a glance at me it’s no longer because I think they are thinking “she wore that!?!” I now, firmly believe they are thinking “she looks damn good!”

After the shoot how did you feel?

I felt amazing, I felt beautiful, empowered, and sexy. I felt like you showed me all the amazing parts of me that sometimes I forget I had.

Any advice for someone who might be considering a shoot?

Right now, you are enough, not 5 pounds from now, not a few months after, not a diet from this time, right now, you are beautiful, you are hot, and this is your time! This is one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself. You can do this for a man or women, you can do this for a gift or a goodbye present, but you MUST also do it for you. Remind yourself how good YOU look. YOU look damn good, show it off, remind yourself and if comfortable, share it with others. Share with them how damn good YOU look!

Now that you've had your session what would you go back and tell yourself to calm your nerves, inspire or empower yourself?

I would tell myself, your body is perfect, right now in this moment your body is the best you, yes you can change it, but right now, your body is you. Love it, embrace it, and remember how damn good your body looks!
